Where In Seattle Are The Rockettes?

It's a busy week for The Radio City Rockettes in Seattle - here's a peek back on their week thusfar:

Monday, December 14th

Four of the Radio City Rockettes were on hand at Nieman Marcus in The Bravern in Bellevue to sign autographs and pose for photos, in commemoration of the release of a limited edition Madame Alexander Rockette Doll.

Tuesday, December 15th

KING/KONG News Anchor Joyce Taylor talked with Rockette Amy Klingler who lives here in Seattle, just prior to a routine the ladies performed live on air.

Wednesday, December 16th

Q13 Fox Reporter Kaci Aitchison, strutted her stuff with six of the Radio City Rockettes on stage at The Paramount Theatre on Wednesday morning, taught by Dance Captain Annie Gibbons Syke (shown here). According to all of the ladies – Kaci did a pretty good job!!

Friday with The Rockettes!

Two of the Radio City Rockettes braved the bitter cold Friday morning to help out with KIRO-TV’s Toys for Tots Drive…

Sara Kroeger and Danielle Horn visited the station and talked with morning News anchors, Chris Egert and Julie Francavilla (pictured here) and even gave Chris a Strut Kick lesson! Not bad Chris!

After battling the cold Friday morning – we took two of the Radio City Rockettes in to the KOMO Radio and TV studios on Friday afternoon, to sit down for an interview with KOMO Radio Anchors Lisa Brooks (pictured here) and Brian Calvert, followed by an interview on KOMO TV with Mary Nam, who also got a kick strut kick lesson on air in four inch heels!! Fun!

The Morning with Guy Fieri

One of the cool parts of working for a great company like STG is the diverse programming we bring to Seattle, and this morning I had a chance to tag along with Guy Fieri and his Kulinary Gangster crew during a couple of press stops in advance of his Guy Fieri Road Show taking place tonight at 8:00pm at The Moore Theatre (get tickets here).

The day started off with The BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 KISW.

Guy and the KG crew all packed into the studio for the appearance, and the guys from Voula’s sent along some food for everyone to chow down on while on air. (See Steve The Producer’s blog post here). The Food Network are following Guy around today, filming a behind the scenes documentary about The Guy Fieri Roadshow. So the studio was PACKED. All had a great time.

Next stop was the Q13 Fox Morning Show. Mark and Lily were very excited to meet Guy and he had a great time.

If you watch closely you can see me ducking out of the way when the camera shows the Kulinary Gangster crew hanging out off set. Guy, Dirty P, Gorilla and Panini Pete all had a great time, as you can tell the show outta be pretty fun tonight!

All in all a very fun day, I’m so looking forward to the show tonight at The Moore! See you there!!

Who’s hungry?! ;)

Homecoming for One Rockette

Years ago, Amber Cameron attended a big show at The Paramount Theatre and loved every minute of it. After training at Mercerart Dance Studio on Mercer Island and taking on the dream of dancing professionally, she is now an official Rockette, traveling with the show and performing at The Paramount starting this Saturday!

Amber was also a part of the 3rd Annual DANCE This production at The Paramount Theatre in 2001. She performed in a modern piece choreographed by Abdel Salaam from New York. Kiyon Gaines, now a principal dancer at Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Aaron Loux, recent dance grad from Julliard, were also in the piece.

Pretty great story, if you ask us. We'll be cheering for Amber and all the Rockettes as they kick their way across the gorgeous Paramount stage from December 12 - January 3.

More info on the show here!

Rockettes in Seattle!

Radio City Rockettes Courtney Grassia and Dani Betchel visited the Seattle Clear Channel Radio studios on Wednesday, Dec 9, for interviews with KJR-FM’s Heidi May (seen here) as well as with Shellie Hart at KUBE-FM and KJR-AM!

Stay tuned for many other Rockette appearances around town to be posted here!
