click to enlargeThe first ever DANCE This Camp took place this past week, August 2-8, in partnership with Centrum at Fort Worden in Pt. Townsend – and it was a huge success! Our goal with this camp was to provide an opportunity for young artists to really focus on technique & creativity in beautiful natural surroundings.
click to enlargeThirty-six students joined us from all over the state...dancing from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM & then dancing even more during breaks & before bed. At the end of the week, the students presented a final demonstration of what they learned (African, Salsa, Modern, Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballet).
click to enlargeThis showcase for their family & friends showed how, after just one week, their original choreography was already at performance-level quality. They bonded, they danced & who knows what they will bring to arts & culture in the future!

Great pics Vicky Lee. I still keep in touch with some of the kids from Dance This camp. Some of em even came to take class after the camp. Theyre all inspired and fired up for dance!

those were some tight pics...haha...it was such a funnnnnn thing to do...it definitely opened my eyes to the different kinds of dance and i met some sweeeeet peeps...thank you so much for a great opportunity!!!!!!

I had such an amazing week with everyone at camp. It changed the way I look at dancing now because I had never danced before camp. :)
these are so great, bringing back awesome memories, i had such a good time and learned soo soo much, and not only from the amazzinngg teachers. thanks everybody! i miss youu!!!
